Did metformin cause metallic taste in your mouth??

Hi all

I have a Question for all the metformin takers.... did anyone get a metallic taste in their mouth from metformin?

I upped my dosage to 1000mg Just over a week ago and for the past three days I have had the worst metal mouth

Not sure if it is the metformin or not?????

I thought it was just me but i did notice a slight metallic taste in my mouth when i started taking it again. It only lasted a week or so.

I haven't had it but have recently done a diabetes update and it is a common side effect

Do you happen to know if it's a cumulative thing?? The reason I ask is it's just started and I have been taking it since the end of October.
