Hi girls!
Chris: i just was having a wee think about your pain...i DO remember pretty bad pain when my uterus was going back down (you know, when you b/f etc). i remember that it was pretty shocking as it contracted back and must have been pulling or nudging bits of the endo...probably not as bad as you are experiencing tho', as i wouldnt have to take anything for it, and it was only when the uterus was doing her thing... just a thought tho.
Mehza: yeah, i'm like you. i have been following the endo diet. i can get away with just avoiding caffeine and sugary stuff during the peak times (ie Ov and AF). but we are strict on eating loads of fresh stuff. i have found that it helps (or rather eating or drinking the cr*p just made it a whole lot worse IYKWIM).
wow, i didnt realise PCOS was so full on with the bleeding. that must be really exhausting. i dont blame you for not looking forward to AF! :o but i guess her return is the go ahead for the TTC journey! which in itself can be really exciting!!
YDI: yeah i have been following the diet recommendations for endo. i found it helps with the symptoms (ie i know when i have 'fallen off the wagon' so to speak as the cycle is particularly bad).
Also, I went to see an OB/GYN who specialised in homeopathic fertility treatments. we spent 3ish hours just going through a complete medical history and in the end i was prescribed a whole bunch of treatments that included, clearing out the retained material (sorry if TMI!), one to kickstart proper muscle contractions to help AF out and another to help with bringing my cycles back into a normal and regular pattern (this was a pretty hardcore treatment and sent my body reeling the first time i took it). but it worked. after the first cycle i had my first AF after exactly a 28 day turnaround and then by the 3rd i was pg with DD (we had been trying for almost 2 years). so no doubt i will be going back to her if it really is starting up again!

Yes my double bowel resection was for endo. I had 40cm of small bowel removed, a piece of my rectum removed as a large endo nodule was stuck to it, i had some large bowel shaved off, my appendix taken out and also my right tube removed. My Pouch of Douglas was full of endo and adhesions too. Was lots of fun! 6 hour surgery and 3 weeks in hospital :D

Hi girls
I have been trying to get back to post but I swear my little princess knows when I get on the comp.
Mehza : Is the hormone treatment your on Syranal (nasal spray)?? Where do you live? Because in Sydney there is a great Gyn clinic that specialise in Endo problems. I totaly understand about the affects of pain killers and looking after children. As I had alot of pain from a complication after a m/c (Suspected Ashermans syndrome). I was about to have the hysteroscopy/Laperoscopy (to formaly diagnose the Ashermans) and I found out I was preg (what a miracal that was). Now that bub is here I have to go and have the opp.
Clare : The pain after the birth was bad (especially when breast feeding). I have talked to a midwife and my GP. I was told that the afterbirth pain should not be still around, to see the gyn who is to do a hysteroscopy/Laperoscopy (but he is leaving the hosp so I have got the earlyest appt with his replacement).
YDI: I hope your feeling better now, than what you did b4 your opp. As that is a long time recovering after an opp. I have been told that I might need a bowel resection in the future as my POD is hardend from the endo scareing in it. Your story makes me hope  I don't need it at all.
I better go and get some :asleep: befor the next feed.
Take care
Chris

YDI: OMG you are very strong to have gone through such a big operation, i really admire your strength.
Chris: no i'm on Cyperterone Acetate and Dianne 35 no sugar pills.
Even on both of these i have recently started bleeding again!!!
nother trip to gyno scheduled.

OMG Chris I just realised that we live near one and other........ What a small world.

ok, now i am really mad.
endo is def back. have been crippled on the floor now for 2 hours. been crawling around trying to get DD organised and happy; all the while feeling like throwing up, not sure if i am going to pass out. my whole body hurts. and all this for O. :o
not happy jan. just wish DH were here to help watch my newly walking bub!
-
Oh sweetie............ That sux big time. When is DH home, soon I hope. Is there anyone you can call to come over ??
OK it's been a few hours since you posted this..........has it improved ??
-
Hi JG! thanks for checking up on me! after a few hours it finally abated. now i am left with a somewhat tender abdomen and am really really tired. luckily DH came home an hour after i posted and was there to help with Leila. it's the first time that i have had it this bad since having her and it was scary being so immobile with a toddler toddling around!!
DH is calling home (italy) tonight to talk to our homeopath to see what course i have to take now...boo hoo! was hoping i had swept endo out the door!!

Hi everyone!!!
Clare: Big hugs  I know what it is like to have kids running around and you can't look after them because your in sooooo much pain. I used to pray that I didn't faint with the pain while looking after them, as I didn't like taking too many drugs incase I fell asleep.
JG : It is a small world!!!
Mehza : I found it hard to stop AF with hormone treatments (doing "the pill with no sugar tabs). I went through alot of types and strengths and it did not work for me. I was told that I could take another type (forget name now) but when I looked it up all the side affects would have been worse plus some were permanent. So I ended up stopping all treatment and just learnt how to manage the pain with out the hormonal drugs (that piled the weight on to me and did a hole lot of crap to me).
Take care

Hi girls!
Chris: EXACTLY! i was looking at the pan forte with soo much longing! LOL! just had to make do with nurofen..bit of a joke really...but i just didnt want to risk passing out for a long time with L alone with me. as it was i was having blanks.
AFM: well havent had a chance to contact the homeopath guru (man i love that woman! LOL!). but i am pretty sure that she will up the ante on the licopodium and make me do a cervical cleanse (just as it sounds :o). but will have to wait and see. i have one treatment round of the licopodium...so hoping i am able to use that still...

Clare
When I am in pain like thatI will take a pan forte, a panadol and then if I am still in pain in 30min - an hour I will then take some Ibruphen.
I know that I can do this as Ibruphen and panadol/forte are from 2 different families of painkillers.
These days I can take the 2 forte and be Ok to look after the kids as it is the indicid supository that knocks me out.
It is really hard to look after kids when your in pain. I try to plan and have things for the kids to do on the bad days. EG we don't have some toys readily available for the kids they are for "special days" and they have to be very good to play with them. I do his with play doe and craft box (but with craft box I need to be there also).
Take care
Chris

Chris: that's a great idea! i will put together a 'special' toybox for Leila. luckily i am fairly certain of the timing of the bad days so should work AOK.
that's great to know about the forte. i was worried as the last time i had i was in hospital (for tonsilitis gone bad...), but it was mixed iwth the morphine, so i guess my grogginess was prob more from the morph than anything else....?
how are things with you ATM? have the pains kinda subsided at least to something more manageable??
-
Hi Clare
I found it very good, as you can bribe the kids (if you want to play with the blocks you have to be good!!!).
I am good, I still have a bit of pain so I think the hormones are getting back in order and AF will be here sometime soon.
DH and I have a survival plan so we both get sleep.
JG: How are you going???
Cheers
Chris

Hi all,
I am well thanks you asking Chris. We found out we are having another boy last week so no 'pink' shopping for me afterall.....
Now that I'm half way Im starting to feel a little heavy down there IYKWIM. It was only another 6 weeks or so when I went into pre-term labour with Hamish so fingers crossed that doesn't happen again. Praying that my uterus behaves and doesn't become irritable again. And I know you can appreciate that chris....
Glad to hear your pain is getting better, do you still need surgery soonish ?? Or is it a wait and see thing. ??
Hope all the lovely ladies are well and pain free.

Hi girls!
Chris!! fantastic news!! doing a happy dance for you (for the snooze and the pain free! LOL!)
JG: oh man i didnt know you had preterm labour with H, that must have been really scary. do you have an OB or GP that can help ease your mind? or at least give some idea of what the chances of it happening again are?
AFM: well my homeopath needs really really detailed information. so have waited for an entire cycle to write everything down that is weird, normal etc etc. including what foods i hve been wanting to eat and what kind of dreams and what time of night etc etc. so very detailed. to help things along i have started charting my cycles too on FF. i figure every bit of info helps and may shed some light on my O and AF habits...

Great news Chris about the sleep and the pain relief. I hope they both continue for you dear. Hows the little one ??
Cassius - I managed to keep H baking til full term but he tired to come at 28 and 31 weeks. My uterus was very irritable and the combination of recent surgery and a big baby made me contract constantly. I was housebound and confined to bedrest for ages before he finally arrived and that's what Im trying to avoid, imagine that will a toddler :o:o yeah right, bedrest , sure !! I think when I became housebound was when I found you lovely ladies in Sept mummies thread. I joined the party late remember.
Your homepath sounds awesome Cassius. It will be interesting to see what she recommends after having all that info.
Hi to everyone else, take care.

Hi girls
Well the pain free time was short lived I'm affraid. But it was nice while it lasted (gives my liver a break from the drugs).
Miss D is dooing well at the moment, she has a bit of refulx it seems. Her sleep pattern is developing and I am getting around 6 hrs a night and one night I got 8 hrs.
Cindy: I know what you mean with the looking after kids and being sick and preg (thats how I was when preg with Miss D). I hope you are feeling ok today.
Clare: I am writing everything down as well as I have to work out what my body is doing after being preg so I can tell the Gyn when I see her. As I have to have a hysteroscopy and lap done soon to formaly diagnose Ashermans Syndrome (I had all symtoms b4 preg) .
If ever my posts seem cut off its because Miss D needs her Mum.
Hope every one is well..
Take care
Chris
