I would like to finally introduce myself. I have only made 3 other posts, as I mainly read everyone’s stories/experiences and wonderful advice. It has helped me so much.
My fiancée and I live in a small coastal town called Esperance in WA. At 25, I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis in 2000. I am now 32 (will be 33 when we start IVF) and my fiancée is 30. We have been together for 12 years and now want to start our family. Neither of us have children at all. We will marry this Dec. And will start treatment for my endometriosis in January ( I have had 2 previous laprotomies in 2000-2001) and then will follow IVF with Dr Roger Hart at the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth.
We do have a beautiful puppy dog. He is beagle crossed ****er spaniel. Yes he has the cute flobby ears too. He is our baby
I would love to share stories with others and share advice. We are both new to IVF. It’s our first time at it all. It’s kind of scary. And always wanting to know more about endometriosis. So would love the guidance for ones that know I have so many questions.
Once again, would love to share stories from EVERYONE. If there are others in Esperance/ Country WA/Perth with any local knowledge, advice or stories on here.
Love to hear them
Im new here too and dont really have any stories or advice or anything, but i just wanted to wish you all the best with the IVF in jan and i hope that you are blessed with a darling little bubba very soon
Esperance is such a beautiful place!!! I would sooo love to move there!!!
Good luck and i look forward to chatting to you on here
Thank you for the welcome and much appreicated the kind words. And of course all the best to you and DH as well.
Sorry I'll just clarify my story. I have a consultation with Dr Roger Hart at KEMH in Jan and then we will discuss surgery for my endo. Then we have a consultation at the Fertility clinic (the one associated with the KEMH) in March. IVF will start there after. So we will not start IVF probably til the middle of next year.
Thank you for your welome and your kind words. And same to you wishing you and your DH all the best.
Just like to clarify. I don't start IVF until middle next year. I have a consultation first with Dr Roger Hart at KEMH first in Jan. Then a consultation in March at the Fertility Clinic (associated with the KEMH). So yeah, still a little while to go.
Hope all plans are going smoothly for you. How is the clomid going?
Look forward to chatting with you too

: I posted twice. By accident. Still learning.
haha thats ok. are you nervous about going thru IVF? I guess we will put ourselves thru anything to get that bubba in our arms
clomid...not so good! i started taking it close to 3 weeks ago and it really doesnt seem to be doing the right thing. I felt nauseas up until about 5 days ago, so that was pretty horrible. Also had headaches and hot flushes. So im not really a fan or the stuff, but still, its what got me my beautiful little boy, so i guess i cant complain there. Im not really sure if clomid is something they usually prescribe for endo tho....
Hang in there, considering how fast the year has gone already, it will be January before you know it!!!
Hi there
I have quite a bit of experience with severe endo and IVF, if you want to chat just let me know. I have been a patient of both Pivet and Concept (KEMH IVF), I recommend Dr Thompson at Concept for IVF and DEFINITELY recommend Dr Yovich at Pivet for endo surgery...
Best of luck. You can have severe endo and still get pg, it's just a bit harder....
Kritso – At this stage I am not really concentrating on IVF. I have to go back into hospital for more surgery for my severe endometriosis. And I want to get that under control or into prospective first. Then IVF.
Yes, I have started to think a lot more about IVF because it will be the next step after I have surgery for the endo. We have been put on the public hospital listing for IVF with KEMH. But there is a lot more questions I have before we confirm we will do it.
And of course this year is flying by. Just talking about it, has helped.
Well good luck with the clomid. Hope it doesn’t knock you around too much. And yes I bet your beautiful boy keeps you going
Magic – There ar so many questions I would love to ask you. I would love to chat. And with your knowledge about the clinics is just an added bonus, as I have only been in WA for almost 3 years. I am so green to what is out there. I was diagnosed in NZ. I was confident with my gyno and GP in NZ. After a rough all deal. Long story. So I am back on the trail to get a solid team together.
Well Ladies, would love to keep hearing from you. Friday I go back to perth into the hosptial (KEMH) for a IVP and an Barium Enema X ray to be done. I am getting really nervous about them. And they both don't sound comfortable. I have never had either of them done before. So here goes. Fingers crossed.
Thank for the chatter. And hope to talk or hear from you soon
