How can I bring on AF so I can TTC - Very long cycles!

Hi all, Im hoping you can help me!
I have PCOS and since coming off the pill April 08 I have had incredible long cyles. The first was 76, the next 60, the next I got a BFP and miscarried, though was a normal cycle length. I Had a D&C after I lost my baby at 10 weeks (Though was told it had died at bout 6 weeks). Since this I have been waiting and waiting for AF so we can commence TTC. I has been 10 weeks (69 days). My gyn did an ultrasound at 6 weeks post D&C and thougt I would get AF soon as my lining was thick and bright, though this didnt happen so after a progesterone BT which was 2.5 he started me on the mini pill for 7 days taking 2 tablets a day. I have finished these 2 days ago and STILLL nothing. I had a tiny amount of spotting on day 6-7 of taking these pills. My Gyn is on holidays till the 19th jan so have to wait till then to ask what next?

I feel like I cannot move on as most people would have had 2 1/2 goes at TTC by now.
Any one got any ideas what I should do/take/where to go???

I am so sorry to hear of your losses . A lot of women have had success bringing on AF using acupuncture, just make sure you go to someone who specialises in fertility or womens health. HTH.

accupuncture may help you out, although if you've been put on the pill, it can take up to a week or more for AF to arrive once you come off it (PCOS SUX!!)

i would think if you're having 10 week cycles you need to speak to a gyne - there is no way you'll successfully TTC if you're o'ing so late or having anovulatory (no o) cycles - maybe talk to them about doing something like clomid to regulate your cycles

i used to have "cycles" of up to 9 months so i know where you're coming from - it's damn hard

    Thanks Oscaroscar and Briggsy's girl!
I will be starting clomid, my gyn wants me to start taking it day three of my cycle. Hopefully taking the pill will do the trick and bring on AF as I really really want to start taking the clomid to move things along the way!

good news - i would say if no AF by day 10 ask for a BT to check hormone levels - you may find you're "flatlined" as if AF were here anyway - happens to me - i don't have a bleed, i just flat line...

What do you mean by flat lined? How do you get rid of the lining if you dont get an AF?
