    Hsg xray

    Hi everyone,

I had an appointment with my DR today and he wants me to have HSG Xray and internal ultrasound - he said to take panadole because it could be painful. Im not sure if he was talking about the Xray or ultrasound? I have had an ultrasound and found it to be not so bad so it made me think he was talking about the Xray. Can anyone that has had this before tell me exactly what to expect and if in fact there is discomfort.

    Thanks

i had a little discomfort afterward just like af cramping only lastedabout half and hour.
the insert a catherter and then inject dye ( not painful just uncomfortable) and the thye watch the dye flow thru yout tubes to see if there is any blockages etc.

Good luck when you go for your tests. I hope you get some answers.

The HSG is just a bit uncomfotable. Panadol may help, but I found it was just when they were putting the catheter in was the uncomfortable bit. Just try and take some nice big breaths and relax as much as possible (I know not that easy in this cimcumstance) but it will help to get it all done and over with in no time.
