How do you find out if you have Endometriosis?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering how endometriosis is detected? I have PCOS, but I don't know whether I have been tested for endo and I'm not sure how I find out. I've have a couple of laps, HSG, blood tests and ultrasounds - just wondering if any of these would have told me?

I think they do an ultrasound and measure the endometrium... A thick endometrium usually points to endometriosis.

a lapraoscopy would have told you for sure if you had endometriosis at the time. That is how mine was detected. It can't be diagnosed via blood tests

Yep, if you had endo they would have found it during your lap/s.

They can do a blood test to check for a marker for endo, but it's not considered very reliable these days. Only way for a positive diagnosis is to do a lap.
