OMG! PCOS girls don't give up!

I woke up and needed to pee..... as I have been needing to do so night time wise lately, I thought I better do a preg test, been awhile, plus I have my 2nd appt booked Monday morning with FS and DP and I were only joking the other wk wouldn't it be 'funny' if I went back and was pregnant.... well it is 4.45am and I am pregnant and I can't sleep!!!! The line came up instantly.... like within 5 seconds. I told DP and he said don't be silly, come back to bed lol but I just can't. I know it is early days and I have no idea how late I am. So for you girls who do have PCOS please please don't give up. I get like 3-4 periods a year, and had been told by GP's and even the lovely FS that it would be virtually impossible to fall preg naturally if I hadn't done so by now. Fingers crossed it is all ok and girlies.... keep trying!

Congratulations on your miracle bubba. Your story is exactly the same as mine. I found out I was pg (both times) the day before my FS appt to start medications. First time FS couldn't believe we'd done it second time he nearly wet himself laughing because we'd done it again. Appartenly he is our good luck charm. Isn't mother nature a funny old thing.
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Enjoy every second.

It is crazy.... all this time and nothing, and then as soon as I am told by my GP and the FS you will be preg soon, it all happened naturally.

    Woohoo.

That is great. I am so happy for you. PCOS is tough to deal with when you oh so desperately want to have a bub.

I was the same. Aftr months and months of trying, losing weight, seeing specialists it all miraculously happened.

Congratulations Mitzy! That gives me hope. A year ago an endocrinologist said I wouldn't be able to get pregnant without IVF and that because I'm relatively thin, metformin would do nothing for me but my new awesome PCOS-expert gyno is so happy with how metformin's working for me (have had 2 AFs since February, and before that had nothing for 7 months!), he told me to send him a photo in a year of my baby because he thinks I'm good to go and don't need him anymore. I hope he's right!

Are you on metformin for your PCOS?

Thanks ladies. I am off to have my dating u/s tomorrow, when I had the blood tests they said I was about 4wks, so we think I am 10wks, but will be confirmed tomorrow.
Beetle to answer your question, I saw an Endo about 2yrs ago regarding weight loss and a few other things, and she told me 1 metformin a day, and that was what my GP prescribed me about 3yrs ago, so I figured if Endo said continue on, I would. So the FS said to me 'why are you taking 1 tablet a day, that isn't enough to do anything except give you a mild tummy upset' and he said that I would need to triple it to make any difference So I stopped taking it that day! (his advice)

I was also taking Vitex. When I started taking it, 2wks later I got AF and then about 2months later find out I am preg, so I wonder if that helped aswell. It has all happened so fast considering nothing for so so long.

Good luck to all of you girls, like so many people said to me 'it will happen' and I shrugged it off, I do believe it will happen to you all also. xoxox
