hi all, i just joined your forum to be comforted. I recently had a laparoscopy to diagnose lower abdominal and associated pains on the right side from ovulation through menstruals but it found nothing abnormal and it was suggested to be more related to bladder or colon problems. My concern though is that although i was feeling the pain on the right side, i received a cut in the bellybutton (navel) and to my left side. Is this normal? or was the wrong side (left) investigated? Has anyone been given these results and later found that it was related to one of the 2 organs mentioned above?
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
Hi
I had a laperoscopy on monday 28th cause I am having really, really bad pain on the right during intercourse and on and off during my cycle. I got no answers from mine either. Nothing was said about the 2 other organs though. It's really frustrating knowing there is something going on but noone being able to find anything.
Best of luck and I hope you get some answers soon.
Hi and welcome to BB! It is standard for them to put the incisions in where they did. They bloat your stomach with gas for the procedure, so they would have been able to see all that they needed to see. If you still feel that something isn't right, keep trying to find an answer - it may not be an endo problem, but it could be something else. Or it could be nothing at all kwim? I still have painful periods and cramping on and off from ovulation through to my bleed and there is nothing going on that can be seen on a scan, but my Dr is keeping an eye on it and we are reviewing the situation in another 2mths.
tashechann,
I had a lap 4 years ago to investigte pain on my right side. I had endo cleared and a large fibroid removed. Six weeks later the pain came back again. When I told the doc the pain was back he said it was unrelated to a gyno prob. I then saw a bowel doctor who said he thought it was back related, so I then went on to have physio. The pain still comes and goes. I hope you get some answers. GL
Hi All,
I am so happy to know that I am not the only one experiencing these complications. It has been a distressing week as I had really serious constipation with light bleeding which went straight into my period (a bit early but monitoring the heavy bleeding) and now,i find i have trouble/pain and burning while urinating (some i was advised are side effects of the laparoscopy and the latter worth medical attention) . So, I have made an appointment at my GP tomorrow and hopefully I can start the other leg of the investigations as the pain is still nagging. I wish you all a means of finding solution to your discomforts and thanks for the support and words of encouragement.
Cheers mates!
