PCOS & Vitex any stories?

I have PCOS, I am on Metformin and started taking Vitex 3wks ago today, have not had AF for 4 months, but got AF today! (normally I get AF maybe twice a year). Could this be the Vitex helping? Since I came off the pill my skin has been horrible, but within 1wk it was clearing up once on Vitex. I really hope this stuff works and brings me a baby! Has anyone else had success?

Vitex is such a beautiful and powerful herb - it works so well in stimulating the pituitary gland, which in turn triggers ovulation. I find it so useful in my clinic, especially for balancing hormones and treating PCOS. It is also fantastic for getting your cycle back on track after stopping the OCP, and can really help with hormonal acne. All that and so much more from this humble herb

One thing to remember though, is that Vitex is a dose dependent herb, and the amount prescribed varies greatly from case to case. It is always best to have it prescribed individually by a Naturopath/Herbalist.
