Hi all, this is my first post in this section, a little background, 6 or 7 weeks ago, i found out i was pregnant with #3, I was so excited, we had been trying for 15 months but then a week later i had a dating scan and found out i had an ectopic pregnancy and then a week after that i had to have emergency surgery (no pain or cramping) but a scan revealed i had started bleeding internally. I lost my right fallopian tube and while i was under general anaesthetic (sp) they also found i had a tumor growing on my right ovary, it was benign thank goodness. I had lap surgery and a D & C but after my surgery my OB revealed to me that he also found that i had severe Endometriosis, i had no idea that i had endo? I have done some research about it and have learnt alot in recent weeks. I had my first period after surgery and it was so heavy (TMI) but what i am trying to ask is, after finding out that i have severe Endo and after losing my right fallopian tube, i am so scared that i will never be able to fall pregnant again. We are starting to try again his month (I wanted to give myself a month to recover) but i have read that i am more fertile now after having lap and a D&C and what i want to ask is this true? Am i more fertile now after surgery and how long am I at the most fertile stage and how long will it take for the Endo to return, if it does return? How hard is it going to be to conceive with one fallipian tube and severe Endo? Has anyone else experienced something similar and can give me some advice?
Often women are more fertile right after a lap. As for the tube, I asked my gynae as I potentially may have lost an ovary (but didn't) and he said it actually does not cut fertility in half. The body simply realises and the other ovary takes over. Though you haven't said you lost your ovary, only tube. Perhaps it might be different if the ovary is still intact and functioning.
Sorry that hasn't been alot of help!
