    What happens to my cycle?

Hi gals, hoping you may have some advice for me or can share your experience.

I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy with d&c and tubes flushed on Friday for infertility investigation and suspected endo. It was day 17 and I was due to ovulate. I bled heavily the day of and day after the op and have been spotting since.

Post-op appointment is on the 23rd.

My question is - does the d&c change anything for where I'm at in my cycle? Does it kind of 'reset' things? Should I still expect to get AF in a couple of weeks or could it be longer?

    Thanks in advance...

(PS - any tips to get rid of the horrible gas pain in my shoulders and diaphragm??)

buffy1 - I don't think it changes anything in your cycle from what I remember after I had my lap etc... I am fairly sure I kept counting from my original CD1. As for the shoulder & diaphragm pain, it is an unfortunate side effect but should settle down in the next few days

Aha, I see - thanks very much for this RCC, I'll keep counting and see what happens. Can't wait for the gas to bugger off!

    Hi Buffy,
I found that a shoulder rub helps the pain. Some pan forte helps too.
Your AF will be when it is expected but will be lighter. (well that is what happens to me).
Hope you get good news on the 23rd and a BFP very soon.

Hi Chris - thank you, appreciate your advice. I made DH rub my shoulders and that definitely helped.

Would actually be rather nice to have a light AF for once!

    Much obliged

Buffy, The pain should start to ease now. Back rubs help so much. Do you keep record of your AF?? Your Af could be alot different for a couple of months now. Do you know when your next AF is due??

It's almost gone, thanks so much for following up Chris. Not in a hurry to repeat that experience any time soon.

Yes, I sure do - AF is due next Tuesday/Wednesday. Hoping it will be on time as I'm due to start Clomid, joy! Hope all is well with you

    Hi,
It isn't nice but Drs need to have a look to see what is going on inside.
I haven't used Clomid myself. I hope to see a BFP soon.
Go into the TTC forums to get some support in there. I am sure there would be girls who are on Clomid or have been on it.
    Good luck.
    Take care
    Chris
