GM is hardly "terminator technology" - although I do agree that Monsanto haven't done the GM cause any good with some of their silly "look what we can do!" engineering that doesn't do the world any good.
Terminator technology is named thus because it is engineered to produce sterile offspring. Since large numbers of farmers rely on seed saving for their next crops terminator technology means that they are forced to buy seed that they may not be able to afford not to mention the implications of cross pollinisation - farmers who have not bought terminator seeds may find their seed stock is damaged by their neighbour's crop. The potential for crop failure and famine is horrific.
