    age gap between kids

We've got a 5 year gap. DD is only 5 weeks old but so far so good

DS is at an age where he understands when I need to feed DD that he needs to be patient and wait if he needs help with something.

I'm sure this gap will have it's challenges like any as they get older.

I have 3 1/2 - 4 years betwen mine. Its fine but now our oldest is getting to that age where he is into alot more sport and stuff and needs running around its a bit hard with a 3 yr old. We are also TTC number 4 so I guess its only going to get bigger lol.
I think I would struggle having a realy close age gap and I like to enjoy my baby's while they are little.

I have a 12 month age gap between DDs 1 and 2, and then 4 years 1 month to DD3. There are definite advantages to both age gaps but at this point, ie with just an almost 5 month old, I am loving the 4 year gap. I love that I can have time with my tiny baby just the two of us. I was very sick during pregnancy so I really didn't get lots of time just the two of us to enjoy my first baby, and then it was just chaos with two 12 months and under. My two older girls are old enough to understand (although not always be happy about it!) that I can't be at their beck and call anymore because their baby sister needs me for a feed, putting to bed etc. There are issues, the biggest one at this point being the fact that poor baby can be fast asleep and has to be dragged out the door for school runs, sport commitments etc but so far that and the fact that I can't sleep during the day when she does are the only real downsides I'm finding.

I have 18 months and 4 days and has been hard work but also is really good now. I would have loved a 3rd close but DH is anti any more babies so will have to see if I can win him over in a few years! So by then DS1 will be probably 6.

A friend has 10 year gap and loved it another has 7 year gap and loved it.

Theres 6 years between my older sister and I, and we clash, but thats more a personality issue. DH and his brother are 8 yrs apart, and get along well

    age gap between kids

There will be a 5 1/2 year gap between dd2 and this little fella.

I'm happy with that as the girls have each other but I'm worried about how this babe will go as I'm thinking he will be our last. If he isn't, I won't be able to try for another bub till at least 2014 due to uni and work comittments.
