    Little Miss Outgoing

There is no real point to this thread - I just wanted to share my joy. DD is just an absolute delight for many reasons but the one that makes me the most happy/proud is that she is SOOOOOOOO outgoing. I think the reason it makes me so happy is that I have been semi-crippled by shyness/anxiety for most of my life and I am just so relieved that she doesn't look like she is going down the same path as me.

Examples of Little Miss Outgoing (who is 14 months):

At the top of the slide at the park, spots an old man on the other side of the park, waves frantically to him, slides down slide then makes beeline for old man even though he is walking away from her, grabs my hand so she can get to him quicker, eventually catches up and man gives her lolly.

DP picked me up from work today (where she had never been before) so we went into someone's office where she was the star of the show, then she spots someone else through the glass window and starts waving and smiling so they come in to say hello. My colleague who she had never met before took her around the office (where there are literally 200 people so big place and she didn't bat an eye). So chilled that she lay on the floor at one point having a laugh to herself.

Ahhh, I could go on but I think I have whittered on long enough. I am just constantly surprised by how great it is to be a mum.

    What makes you proud?

    She does sound gorgeous!!

DD1 is much the same, it only gets better as they older. DH and I are both pretty reserved people, very small social circle. But Danielle is so outgoing she'll talk to anyone.

My favourite thing to watch is when she will dance in front of people when we go out. The more people watching her the better. It's so cute the way she can make people smile!

Yep it really is fantastic being a mum.
