What was the outcome for you if one wanted another baby and the other didn't
Hubby is done but I don't have that closure yet I know for the next couple years 2 is enough for me and practically it would be better to stop at 2 but emotionally I just can't give it up I almost cried when dh said he was done
I hate to know ill never be pregnant again and that this will be my last baby
Maybe Hattie been a newborn still is a big reason for him saying no more. I think if you talk about it when you feel ready to try again things might be different.
DH told me when DS2 was a few weeks old he felt 2 was good. 18 months later he's not only keen for a third but he's all for the extra effort it took to gender sway. He may change his mind and get. Clucky when Hattie is a few years old
I'm another one saying give it some more time. After DD2 was born, I was convinced I was done and so was DH. Then when she was a couple of months old I was wanting another because I didn't feel done either. We discussed it for a few months and he agreed to have another one, just because I would regret not having one more than he would regret having one - ITMS? And I was the one that had to go through the pain of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding - it would effect me more than him, so he agreed to have another one. And of course she's his favourite now - although he'd never admit it
We were both done after she was born though, this next one was accidental.
You may change your mind too. DH and I always agreed to 3 kids. When we found out that our third bub was another boy I tried to talk DH into trying for a fourth (mind you I'm still pregnant with number 3 ). However a few more weeks into this pregnancy and contemplating whether I was in fact prepared for the possibility of 4 boys, I decided that I didn't want anymore either. I have not coped well physically with this pregnancy and I can't imagine that it would be any easier at 35 then it is at 33. I knew then that I was done.
By giving both of you time you just may change your mind too.
DH did not want another after DS even though we had initially wanted two kids.
We went through a very rough time for a while as I desperately wanted one more and he didn't. When DS was two DH changed his mind based on wanting a sibling for DS and also as I couldn't give up my dream if having another, that decision was enormous for him. Time and many heart to hearts changed his mind.
Now, he's delighted with two and DD adores her Daddy and is a Daddy's girl, I'm sure it's good karma to always remind him he made the right decision.
