BBH at night - do you change or boost?

    Hi,

I have a great stash of BBH nappies and am really enjoying them. I have found, however, that my breastfed bubba is becoming a bit of a "wetter".

I use the bamboo nappies at night with both inserts, however I've noticed that he's a bit restless in the early morning (after he's had a nappy on for a few hours). I've had to change him a few times in the dark.

Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping him drier overnight so I don't have to change? I've heard of microfleece/fibre(?) inserts that are meant to "wick" the moisture away - does anyone think these work? Could they be an option for the evening? or do people tend to use a disposable o/night to avoid changing?

    I'd love your thoughts....

    Hi Melody,

We use BBB at night occassionaly but we use a cottonbabies microfibre staydry booster on top. It's topped with microfleece and is a normal microfibre insert as well. I find it works quite well. They sell for about $7-9 dollars.

Another option is to get a dedicated night nappy. Wild childs are beautiful and my fav. We have also just gotton a GNST which we are still washing in but it seems good so far.

A fleece or wool cover is great over the top too, allows some dampness to evapourate and softer on the legs. there is a lady in the market place Mazalicious that makes awesome fleece covers.

    All the best!

    Sarah
