HI
I am new to cloth nappies and I need help. For those mummies who have used the kmart and BW fitted nappies, are they worth buying?
And there can I buy good prefolds.
Thank you very much
I don't think so Hippy, perhaps for a newborn it might alright, and I suppose you could boost them with some hemp or bamboo, but I'd say you're probably better to invest that money in different nappies.
If you take a look at Nurture Nappies (just google it), you might find that they've got Tots Bots on sale, I quite like them.
I've gotten prefolds from both The Wee Wuns and Nurture Nappies, and I'm sure there are plenty more places online you can get them. In real life, I think I've seen Bambino Mio packs at my local Baby Bunting.
I have a few of them and they aren't very good. The only advantage v's a terry toweling nappy is that they are easier to use on a smaller bun than folding a simple terry towel, but you are changing them every 10 mins when bub is really young.
I have about a dozen of them that I bought on EBay before I found out about the real MCN lol They are REALLY bad.
Having said that though, with a NB who you are changing very often anyway, and trying to guage how much they are weeing and when etc, so it is important to be able to know how much they are weeing they are actually quite good - because you have to change them everytime they wee!! lol
I still use them as backups now, but I wouldnt buy them again or have them as my first and foremost nappies.
Check out buy for baby too, you can find some second hand nappies on there cheaper and you can trial and error. But until you know what you want and what NOT to buy, steer clear of EBay!! lol
