Out for a full day, suggestions needed

We are going out for a full day in a couple of weeks time & we will have to take everything with us.

Looking for suggestions for meals, snacks, etc, for DD (as well as us) that arent too messy, because she wont let us feed her.

There will be BBQ's available at lunchtime but I would like to do as much as I can before the day.

    TIA

    Sandwich
Cut up fruit in containers/grapes etc
    Dried fruit
    Crackers/little biscuits
Banana! always a filling winner here

Do you have one of those little cold bags/lunchboxes? They are the best, especially if you're going to be out for awhile. I don't know how old your DD is, so I'm not sure what else to include.......

We love the little "squeezy" yogurts while the kids are out and about.
Not sure who makes them, but they have a little screw top. Easy to eat and mess free.
If you are going to have trouble keeping them cold I think you can also buy pureed fruit in the same sort of pkt, either in the health food isle or with the tinned fruit.

    Wildberry Mini Wheats

    Saltanas/ dried fruit

Berry Frugo's : Berry or dried apricot balls that are dipped in yogurt (my kids think they are white choc covered balls.....)

    hmmmmm yummy!

lots of good suggestions there. Everyone beat me to it.

We often spend all day out (me and the kids), because I don't drive so I have to wait for DH to finish work to get a lift home.

Make sure you have plenty of drinks. I always take some or all of the following:
    - sandwiches
    - biscuts
    - saltana's and other dried fuit
    - popcorn bars (like a museli bar)
    - fruit, fresh and/or in a tub
    - cheesesticks
    - le snacks or other chees and crackers
    - vegie chips and/or rice wheels
    - fruit straps
    - carrot sticks, snakata's and salsa

My DD is a bottomless pit, so I am always better taking too much then not enough.

Those are all great ideas, I have a big cooler bag that will have ice-packs but we are outside all day and it's going to be the 2nd week of Dec

DD is 16months old, and she is easy for drinks because she wont drink anything but water
