Ours go by class apparently so we might be lucky.
DD's whole school is nut free.
Dumb question but chocolate in the lcm is not considered nut right? Its a bean?

The original Jamie's School Dinners set in the UK was pretty scary, just as bad as the US food wise, the only difference was that the authorities, whilst reluctant, were more adept to change.
I did take a photo today, just one my phone, so will get around to posting it.
No canteen at school either, just lunch orders to the local corner store once a week. During winter the parents run a soup day, bring a cup and dollar. Also there are one off days during the year, pizza, pasta, pie and cookie day etc. Sometimes they can bring a sandwich and it will get toasted for them.
Peanuts aren't nuts either... they are legumes... like peas.
Yeah but don't pack peanuts or anything containing peanuts. They will have conniption fits.:
DD's class last year wasn't nut free but found out today her class this year is so BR I think you would have found out today if her class was nut free ;)

Yep, DDs school is 'nut free', nothing else though. And there is no 'lunchbox inspection' BS either! :o

For the first two weeks DS has playlunch only.
We sent him with carrot sticks, grapes, watermelon, two 'blocks' of cheese and a yoghurt and today all he ate was the watermelon.
I have a big list to bake over the weekend including Rouge's Banana Custard :) I have made space in the freezer for all the freezer idea you have given me.
Juat a query though - as kids we traditionally got a sandwich and fruit, maybe a yoghurt if we were lucky, so do you specify what they should have when or just let them decide how hungry they are at the time etc?
DS has had cooked meals for lunch for the past three years (day care) so bit of a change to think about it at all for us.
On weekend we often do bacon and eggs or sausage sandwiches for lunch, ordinarily we also do 'pizza toasties' for lunch.
Once again leftovers trump what I had planned, tomorows lunch is leftover meatloaf wellington, corn cob, cucumber, fruit salad, a plum and she picked anzac biscuits as her treat

DD2 is taking the same fruit salad to kindy as she is only there half a day.Dont think I will be making shapes every time I do fruit salad but I might suprise them every now and then. Poor DD3 got all the scraps leftover from around the cut out shapes, she was happy :)
Yummy! These lunches look great. Well sushi was a success. Dd eats a whole cucumber in one sitting if I let her. DS normall screws his face up. But ate the whole thing today! Even found his sister in the playground to inform her how awesome lunch was. WIN!
Just OT for a minute. I saw that glad add tonight with masterchef Julie. Zip locking a zucchini slice for lunches. Individually :/ drives me crazy. We try and keep rubbish to a minimum even in our house. So I snap freeze everything on a board then store it in one big bag or a container to save rubbish. Just gah. That's all.
Yeah, but it's an ad for Glad zip lock bags. Mr Gladbags wouldn't like your hippy, earth saving ways ;)

What do you mean by snapfreeze? do you have a fancy freezer (ala masterchef) or board, or do you just put it in freezer when warm or something else?:
