Mission - Vegie garden or bust!!!!!

Ive told jed that the area down the side of the house is going to be transformed before summer :rolleye: now its only 1.5m wide but 10m long...the hot water system is down there, the little hatch door for under the house and a small thin garden shed......so im loking at having 2 garden bed's about 40 - 50cm wide and 2m long.
It doesnt really get sunlight BUT I know stuff grows down there as the people who lived here before had 'mull' plants among tomatoe plants growing nicely in the spot.
SO with that planned..now I need Jed to clean it up for me (he can do something too )

IM thinking of getting a cherry barrell to use as a collector for the run off from the evap cooler on the roof so I can water the plants.

Here goes nothing...and lets see how long it takes.

    shouldn't take too long hun
make sure you look for vegies that like full or part shade rather than full sun (so avoid things like corn)
tomato grows anywhere (it's like a weed here in some places!)

    good luck

i keep saying im going to get a veg patch going but never get round to it, we rent and the owners are selling (if they ever manage to sell) so could have to move at any time.....but its been a year and not moving any time soon so im sick of putting it off......we have an area that is a bit of a waste land, think il get a raised bed going and order some soil and just do it!!!
Its full sun for 90% of the day so a totally different spot to yours!!
we will see......before summer is the goal!!
