Newbie to veggie growing - couple of questions!

Hi all

I am new to the art of growing vegetables and was just wondering if anyone could tell me the harvest time on these vegies:

Brown Onions (from seed)
Broccoli (from seedling)
Carrots (from seed)
Cos Lettuce (from seedling)

They've been in the garden for around 5 weeks and the onions and carrots seedlings have popped up in the last couple of weeks!

The brocolli and lettuce are growing quite fast!

We planted broccoli from seedlings about 8 weeks ago and they are only just starting to grow a head, so it will prolly be another 3-4 weeks before they are ready for picking. The actual plant part will grow quite large, so be prepared for a great big plant before you get a head. Onions take forever to grow - you need to wait till they flower, then die off before they are ready to pick. The onion flower can grow on a stem up to 1mt tall, so they are quite a slow to mature vege. Carrots are quite quick, you sould have some ready in 8-10 wks. cos is quite fast, and depending on if you want baby cos leaves, or larger ones is when you pick it. We planted seedlings on anzac day and they are just about ready to be picked.

Thanks for that Tril, there's no heads on the broccoli yet but the plants are huge!
And the onions have only just sprouted through the soil too

ooohhh i'll be planting something soon too!! we put up the vegie garden on the weekend!!
