Have a close look to see if any leaves are stuck together. If so you might have a green worm inside which eats the insides of plants. Snails are another problem with these plants.
Will ask DH is no one else comes up with a solution.

Tie the leaves together up the top with a bit of wool so that it looks like a neat parcel.

I had nothing on mine until I did it and now (I can peak through) have little heads forming. Start watering them more often to

Asked DH and he said it sounds like slugs have done this. It has been a really good time here for snails & slugs due to all the rain we have had.
