    Woohoo My first Zucchini

    of this season.

I planted Bell zucchini last year and they were a huge failure. I think I got two.

So this year i went back to good old zucchini and YAY, the crop has started!

Woohoo! Look out because they tend to give heaps of them! Last year we planted too many zucchini plants and ended up feeding the neighbourhood LOL!

I look forward to this year's crop, growing veggies is so rewarding

I was just going to write the same thing Trish did. We have an overload of zuccinis and squash. Note to self: next year only ONE plant of each.

DH, DD and I picked so much yesterday.

Ahh, there is zucchini hidden in 100 different things around here.
    Zucchini and apple muffins
    Zucchini grated in all meatballs/meatloaves
    Zucchini bread
    Zucchini fritters
    Zucchini in all our stirfries
you can do it like a gratin
it's a great BLS food too. A very quick steam and it's ready.

And then the rest for the neighbours!

    Now...bring on the tomatoes, please

I planted some this yr too (my first foray into veg plants at all so did a few diff types of veg) - I am hoping to get some 0 planted about 4 wks ago now, i have little things that I am hoping may turn to vegies but not sure - they look like they may become zucchini flowers - does that sound right. I use heaps of zucchini - so planted 2 plants of them!
