Serial Donors

Just wanted to let others know there are serial donors out there. Back in 2005 when I started the journey to become pregnant I had no idea there was such a thing as a serial donor..............let alone that I would end up with one as the donor for my child.


We chose a man who seemed lovely, softly spoken, educated, gentle, healthy, we requested from the beginning that he pass along our contact details to any other women he was ''helping'' who asked.


He was to be a known donor someone our child could send fathers day cards to, someone who our little boy could ring occasionally, and see maybe once or twice a year.


All was going well until I met one of the other mothers with a donor sibling to my son ....in excitement I let it slip to the donor that we had talked this other mother and I ......we had both told the donor we were happy for him to give others our details and he had said he would so we didn't think our meeting of our own volition would be a problem ..........oh how wrong we were ...........It has since come to light along with a list of 19 donor siblings so far that he is a control freak, not to mention he has lied to women about the extent of his donations, which is why we believe he hsa had conniptions and cut contact with anyone having anything to do with us. You see it wasn't until we all found each other and the stories became inconsistent or consistent enough to be convincing that we realised this man has a serious issue with self limitation. More and more stories are emerging about others experiences with this guy and the tragedy is that there is no one place for us to reach out and not only find others that he may have duped but warn those so desperately seeking a donor.


We are eternally greatful for our children and we have no wish to harm this man, he however is slandering us to the mothers of the rest of his children in an attempt to control us and them and to minimise the knowledge of his prolification amongst those he has donated to. This man is still answering adds, this man looked me in the eye and lied to me about the number of children he has. He lied to me about passing my contact details to others, and he has lied to other mothers by saying I was causing him trouble ................up to this point I hadn't caused him any trouble but I feel with the list of children growing and the innocent women out there desperately seeking sperm people have a right to at least make an informed choice ......I mean if you choose to use a serial donor that's your business, but if you are duped into using a serial donor that is outright immoral ............
