Mum + Mum = Baby Arthur

    Our bub is here.
Due for 38 week induction on Sun 23rd jan @6pm.
Sat night 22 jan @ 10:30, awoken by some serious period pains coming in waves.
I likened it to the horn noise a submarine makes as it submerges. Instense, hard and scary.
Starting at 2 mins apart and going for 1min or slightly longer consistantly for 1 hr. Pressure in backside.
Called hospital. said to come in for check up. As its 1st bub they will prob send me home.
Got to hospital, all the way saying, "this is happening too fast... I just know it."
Got to hospital at 12, (1.5 hrs after 1st contraction). Did exam, 8.5 cm dialated!
Moved to delivery suite, on the gas. Within an hour, I was pushing.
After an hour pushing, Dr came in to give me more contractions via drip as they were slowing down.
after another 30 mins and a small epi, baby was born at 5:04am Sunday 23rd Jan.
Apparently, while his head was out, he was blinking and looking around and screwing up his face. He came out kicking his legs!
    3.6kgs. 51cm long.
He spent 24 hrs in Special care nursery due to me having Gestational Diabetes and on 150 units of insulin.
Baby Arthur was given the all clear and we arrived home at 5:30pm on Monday night.

    I LOVE BEING A MUMMY!

WE ARE SO IN LOVE WITH OUR LITTLE MAN!!!
