    Question Queer-friendly GP around Caboolture/Redcliffe???

Does anyone know of any GPs around the Deception Bay area (between Caboolture and Redcliffe) that are friendly, receptive and supportive of queer parenting?? I'm finding a distinct lack of support from my current GP since mentioning that I'm TTC, she was very unhelpful indeed, and quite patronising and offensive to boot.

Would just appreciate some names of alternatives to check out... Thanks.

    That's awful Shades.

I can't help I'm afraid, but keep looking. The last thing you want is a 'crappy' GP.

First point of call I would say would be the Gay and Lesbian Health Service in Highgate Hill. If thats a bit far to travel then just call they should be able to put you in touch with some people.
Also you could try contacting QAHC I say they definately have some names and numbers, or the Gay and Lesbian Welfare Association.

If you were ok with travelling a bit further then Stonewall Medical Centre in Windsor is queer friendly and has at least some gay and lesbian doctors (I *think* its all G/L drs but I can't be totally sure).

Dr Aida something at Warner (Pine Rivers) is friendly. We saw her once when our regular was away. Got our confirmation blood test with her. So supportive and lesbian parent friendly. The clinic is at the Warner shops next to Janden pharmacy. Sorry i don't have proper details, but if you called Janden pharmacy at Warner I am sure they can hook you up. Hope it is not too far for you.

We travel into Spring Hill to see our old and regular GP but use the Warner Family Care (i think that might be the name) or Bray Park medical centre near the Pine Rivers Bowls Club if we need something quick or close. They have been good in an emergency also. We had an ectopic scare at 6 weeks, but thankfully all ok.
