Hi there, My partner and I have been together for just over a year, living together. We both know for sure that we want to spend our lives together. She is 24 while I am 19; so there is a 5 year age gap. This has never been a problem for us during our relationship, and she has just started her first year as a registered nurse. I am at uni studying teaching. We are lucky enough to have full support from every member of our immediate families.
I have always known that I want to be a mother, and as Jess is 24, she feels like she is getting close to wanting to attempt to have a baby. I feel that the 'number' 19 is too young (I will be the tummy mummy), but for my age I am very mature and have been around babies and small children since I was 13 (Aunty at a very young age). We were originally hoping to get pregnant using jess's egg, but I am unaware of surrogacy laws in WA of late.
I guess I am just wondering what people think is the right age to start planning for a baby/having a baby, or if there is a 'right time'.
