    Athletes Foot... TMI, sorry.

Tinea Pedis. Athletes Foot. Toe Jam.
I've got it. One of my interdigital spaces is a povvo petri dish of putrescence. I'm appalled at my obvious lack of personal hygiene and/or shower (un)cleanliness.
Having never hosted this unwelcome visitor before (though my nethers are no stranger to this bastard's cousin candida) I'm unsure as to 1. whether it is definitely tinea and 2. what to use to get rid of the SOB.
Firstly, a description (hopefully you're not eating):
Skin is red, itchy as buggery and flaking. There are also delightful blistery-type arrangements beginning to happen as of yesterday.
Does that sound like the right sort of beast? (Or do I need to embarrass myself further by taking a trip to my GP?)
Secondly I picked up a tube of 'Resolve' foot balm a couple of days ago when it began to get red and itch (pre flake and blister) and (obviously) it isn't working. I have a tube of Hydrozole that Natty had for eczema and nappy rash last year. It went out of date about 2 months ago, but should I give that a go?
Does anyone else get this? If so, what do you or have you used (that worked like, really well).
Anyone else used topical corticosteroids during pregnancy? I believe they are safe for a short term, is that correct?
TIA for any help anyone can offer.

    lol apparently weeing doesn't work...LOL

snacks DH used to have this really bad.
there are a couple of things you can do.... firstly slather on the hydrozole or canasten as often as you can.
wear cotton socks with your shoes or just slip ons if you can to let your feet dry out and finally just keep a bottle of shower cleaner in the shower and spray the base when you've finished showering.
he hasn't had it for over a year now and he used to grow potatoes between his toes

    I hope this helps....
