Just signed up for the Spartan beast in November.
I have no idea why. I'm seriously freaked out. In 2 month and a half months I need to double my cardio fitness. Increase my upper body strength about tenfold, learn to throw a spear, traverse a wall and climb a rope.
I like to step out of my comfort zone but Spartan is a really tough race and the beast is the 20km version. And DH is out. His ankle is rooted. I have to do this solo.
Why do I do this stuff to myself? I'm beginning to wonder if repeatedly putting myself into situations where I am genuinely terrified is a sign of some kind of psychological problem.
Can someone please reassure me that I can do this.
