Can this be done?
I want to get in while I'm still in the free age limit... is there any evidence to suggest it does anything to your milk??
I am thinking about holding off... I'm not 26 till 2009, but what if I am still bfing then?
hmmm....

Ok, I am worried about my breast cancer. But, I am also curious as to why breast cancer gets more attention than any other cancer, like say prostate cancer. I think that prostate cancer, and other men's cancers, are being highly ignored and improperly treated, while breast and other women?s cancers are getting more attention. I also believe September is prostate cancer awareness month, and that breast cancer is still getting more attention. Not to offend, but what ever happened to equal rights?
Nicky - I think it should be fine.
I of course have no medical evidence to back this up -
BUT - my hospy encourages breastfeeding to no end and instructed me to have the Gardasil at my 6wk... so i'm sure it must be fine, if they're pushing both.
Good question though, ill keep an eye out!
ETA - This is all i found...
Combined with the common, always check with your doctor first..."This vaccine can be given to women who are breastfeeding. It has not been shown to have any effect on a nursing infant, or to be any less effective in women who are breastfeeding."

i have been meaning to find this out for ages, unfortunately i keep forgetting about it.
id really like to have the vaccine, so i will be watching this thread![]()
Ladies, can you please refer to all of the other threads on bellybelly about this vaccine.
It is not a vaccine against cervical cancer, it is a vaccine agaisnt ONE of the POSSIBLE causes of cervical cancer, being a few of the strands of the HPV virus. HPV hasnt even been proven to be a definate cause of cervical cancer.
Also, if you have this vaccine and already have HPV (80% of the population will have this virus at one stage or another) and the virus is active at the time that you have the injection, it is more than 50% more likely to inflame the virus!
PLEASE, PLEASE do some research on this particular vaccine before you go sticking it in your arm.
i think 'cervical cancer vaccine' is a common term for it, i dont know anything about cervical cancer, therefore, i dont know how the vaccine helps, but i would ask my doctor before having it, obviously.
i think Niadla is just lookng for a quick yes or no answer from someone who has either had it while breastfeeding, or not been able to have it.
