Weird nipple question

Ha, THAT got your attention!

For the past week I've had unbelievably itchy nipples - do you know how hard it is to scratch a nipple?! They're not doing anything else apart from being insanely itchy, no discharge or anything. My boobs aren't even sore which makes a change!

Any thoughts? Don't hafta be constructive, as long as they distract me *scratch scratch*

Lol, sure did get my attention! But seriously, I get itchy nipples too, and I have no idea why! It sucks cos they're sensitive enough as it is. Not so bad if I'm wearing a bra, I scratch through the barrier. Or I kinda rub them. I probably look like a real weirdo lol.

I'm sure you know pregnancy can cause nipple changes......and I'm sure you've considered that.

Well, PZ, it's about the only thing I can think of right now I'm about 2 seconds away from drawing texta marks around my aereolas (aereoli?) so i can see if they're getting bigger. Never had it before, but never had a sticky pregnancy either, so it's anyones guess! Did I mention I'm still at work for another half hour?

Probably the nipple Arabs though, knowing my luck

I used to get itchy nipples that would get a little scaly and you could scratch flecks of skin off ( I'm so sexy!). It was some kind of dermatitis and went away on it's own.

Well I won't go on about it because I know what the (well meaning) hype and excitement can do, but my first preggo symptom with DD (feels INSANE saying that) was ridiculously itchy nipples...and hard, they were painfully hard.

I still blame the nipple Arabs. They're sandy

Try putting some tea tree oil in sorbolene and put that on a few times a day, maybe just a fungal thing? Has been gross sweaty over here, poor nipple trapped in bras all day, no freedom to flop about in the air con....
