    Exclamation Help! Weight training

I just bought a set of dumbells (the ones where you hold one in each hand, not the long one you hold with both hands) and I have absolutely NO IDEA how to use them. I can't find anything on the internet that makes any sense (there's either no information or a whole mass of information that doesn't seem to have any revelance to me or that'll take me 5 years to sift through) and I can't afford to get professional advice. I just wanna build some muscle and have tonned arms! Who knew it'd be so complicated? There's all this crap about doing such and such on this day, bla bla etc. I'm already alternating walking and running on different days, where does weight training fit into that? Do I have a three day rotation or add weights to my walking days? And what exercise can I and should I do with the limited equipment at my disposal? I thought I'd just do some squats while holding weights and work out different arm muscles by holding and lifting the dumbells in different ways, but its turned out to be A LOT more complicated than that.

My brain is turning to custard!!

    Morning Babysocks,

I work in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer so feel free to PM me any questions you have. There is a wide range of exercises that you can do with dumbells. I'll PM you a site I found a while ago which has really good self explantory diagrams hehe
