I'm sorry to read this MR...
Thank you for sharing with us and reminding us or the importance of checking.
So glad you caught it early, I hope the RT doesn't knock you around too much.
Sending you healing vibes
I'm very sorry to hear this Mantaray, but at the same time, glad to hear you found it early and your treatment is well underway. Sending much love and strength to you on this journey x
In the interests of honesty, I need to set the record straight. I am actually pretty bad at self-checks. My breasts are lumpy at the best of times and I have been having annual mammograms since I had a pre-cancerous lump removed a few years ago. So I have been pretty slack with self-checks, figuring the mammogram would pick anything up. Which, as luck would have it, is exactly how this was found, earlier than I would have felt a lump. But I am incredibly lucky - it wasn't an aggressive cancer and probably hadn't been there long when I had my mammo. It it a good lesson to me though - a year is a long time and it could have been a different story. So I need to nag myself also - must do those self-checks.
I am so overwhelmed by the support in this thread. Thank you so much lovely ladies. Mwah. I am doing really well, looking forward to the end of the radiation treatment (the day before my birthday, yay!!) but going ok so far.
