I was just 'officially' diagnosed with plantar faciitis (swelling and pain in the ligament that joins your heel to the ball/toes in the foot). I've suspected I had it for a fair while and have been trying to help it myself at home with some massage, stretching and strengthening. I have also lost a little weight, which may help too. The pain has lessened, though not gone entirely.
The sonographer has booked me in to get some steroid injections, which is a way to treat the pain and swelling. I have an appt with my GP on Monday to go over it and discuss if I really need the injections. I would prefer to try other treatments like physio before going for injections.
Has anyone had any experience with this? What did you do about it? Anyone have advice?
Thanks in advance
