    Cystoscopy & polyps?

My Dh had to have a cystoscopy yesterday and the surgeon found some polyps in his urethra/bladder opening which were removed. Unfortunately we have to wait ages for any sort of results from the Dr (via the Army) and Im quietly concerned on whether there could be something wrong.

Has anyone had this op and/or polyps - what can you tell me about it and if there is a chance of bad news?

I know they can go either way (benign or cancerous) but Ive never heard of them in the urethra/bladder before.

I dont want to google cause I know they always give you worse-case links first

    Hi Anna,

My uncle had these and from my understanding, the treatment for cancerous polyps is easly treatred, they remove them and use chemo but alot of are benign.

Google is a bad thing, for some reason when i google only the really bad stuff comes up so maybe just wait for the results, Could you see a non army doctor? I dont know how that works but maybe they could hurry the results through.

I'm really sorry to hear this and hope your DH will be ok.

No way to hurry it up just wondering if anyone else had seen it before. Apparently Dh is quite young to have this which is even more of a worry. Im sure he'll be fine though.
