it could be your body adjusting to the new shoes - esp if the old ones are really really worn or if it has been a while since you got new shoes. There are some stretches but most physio's advise rest first to avoid the condition worsening. I was told I was at risk for a more serious fracture if I'd continued (but mine were bad and I have a tendency to ignore medical advice and keep going... so maybe I'm not the best person to listen to!
).
Who to see? Just book in with a physio straight off. They can treat you and diagnose you. You don't need a referral and it will be partially covered by your health insurance if you have extra's cover. They can also demonstrate different stretches for you so you can find the one that best suits you.
HTH and hope they heal soon - nothing worse than being injured!
