TMI _ Question about Pap smear

I have just booked to have a pap smear done later today. Happy happy joy joy
But I DTD last night...... is that ok? Or are you not meant too do that before having one & will the Dr be able to tell from looking up there?

As a general rule, you shouldn't get busy the night before your appointment. All that action could cause tiny abrasions on the cervix, which might affect the quality of the cell sample and the lab technicians ability to interpret it. That said, if you slip up and have sex the night before, you shouldn't cancel your appointment over it. I've had pap smears done on my first day of my period - as long as the dr/nurse is aware all is fine.

I didn't even know that! I had one done on New year's eve morning cause my GP had been hassling me for ages!
