Is anyone interested in doing this with me?
In September in Sydney?

There is one in Melbourne in April but after slacking off over the school holidays I doubt my ability to get in shape for it by then.

It's a 12 mile obstacle course. With mud and fire and electric shocks.

I'm a bit concerned about the fire - I don't want my skins to melt

ETA - I'm registered for Saturday at 10am if you want to do it with me. I think you can adjust your start time up to about a month before and if you make a team they they put you together.

Lol, the fire scares me more than the shocks - mainly because the shocks don't have as much potential to damage my clothing. Vain much?

I've convinced DH to do it with me - the man couldn't cope with the concept that I might be more awesome than him

I'm considering doing it in 2013. I still have a fair bit of weight to lose and fitness to gain before attempting it.
I'm also looking at doing the tough bloke challenge (yes, chicks can do it too!). It's only 6kms.

I was sold on it until I saw the electric shocks ... Oh yeah, and the small obstacle of being about to pop also worked as a deterrent.

But good on you! It certainly looks like it has the potential to be one of life's defining challenges, even if you ruin an outfit along the way.
