    And would you do this??

Following on from my other thread https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ld-you-do.html

I have another idea. It's just a very basic idea at the moment but something along the lines of an outdoor fitness class for parents and their children (5+) kind of like "are you fitter than a 5th grader?" In the park say...4-5 pm.

Basically exercise for the parents and kids to do together to motivate each other and encourage healthier lifestyles as a family. Maybe half the class together and half seperate?

Maybe even 2 different classes - one for kids 5-10 and one for 10-15 or something??

What does everybody think? Again it would be along the same lines as the other one - 6 week course 2 sessions a week - probably a bit more expensive as there will be two people, maybe $20 a session - $240, that includes parent and child - extra child at $5 per child per session. Would you pay that?

    Ok, hit me!!

I would do it but probably at $15 a session ie. $10 for adults and $5 for kids. You could even do a 3-5 year age group where parents can "learn" to have fun playing outdoor sports with their kids.

Fantastic idea - but I don't think you could charge any more than you would for one of your morning classes - because parents can send kids running around the park for free, kwim? Maybe charge per adult and then kids are free - that makes it good value for ppl who have several kids (some of who may or may not be interested in exercising on any given day).

I think it is a great idea but I am not sure if I would pay $20 per session. Maybe you could have a set charge for the parents eg $15.00 then a gold coin dontation for each child the parent brings?? Maybe the gold coin donatation could go towads the cost of a fruit platter at the end of the session??

Maybe you could also include information on nutrition for children becasue some people may need some assistance in this area - or may be struggling to get their child to eat the correct foods.

Good luck becuase I think it is a great idea and I hope you get it up and running.

Ok, thanks I really don't think I could go any lower than $15 for the parents and child - I have to make money!

I am definatly going to include educational material to provide to the families.

I know people can send their kids around the park but this is going to be specialised exercise for a specific population - children. Something that I will have to study and take a course for so I won't just be making them run around the swings!

I like the idea of a fruit platter at the end- thanks!

    Keep the ideas coming!!

For families who have more than one child, maybe make the first child $x and then gradually less for each child?

Great idea getting school age kids working out with parents!

I was going to post in your other thread but my internet went down. So I'll put both my replies here if that's ok ?? I wouldn't do bootcamp when I'm pregnant. The name would put me off to be honest. Sounds just a tad too strenuous for a pregnant woman? But that's just my thought?
But the idea of the parent and child thing is fantastic ! I would definitely do that. I think $15.00 is a smidge easier than $20? But if you have a class of say 5 adults and 5 children for a 45 minute or an hour session max that's $75 an hour ! Not bad at all
    Yep I think it's a great idea
