Thanks Mum for cuddling me to sleep

I went to Sunshine Plaza yesterday and they had a Mother's Day ad sign saying "Thanks Mum for cuddling me to sleep" and that made little sleep deprived me feel so good! So yay for a shopping centre ad for saying gentle parenting is a good thing!

Awwwww isn't that sweet! Makes me feel better after having a sick bubby lying in bed with us for nearly 4 hours from 3am, and playing with my hair and DH's hair before falling into such a deep sleep I had to listen to the 2 of them snore!!

That is so lovely! In the maternity ward when I gave birth they actually had a poster- I think it was to do with avoiding PND- that said, among other things, "It's ok to hold her while she sleeps" which made me smile and look forward to doing just that. Until the CHN came round for her first visit and said "oh, you're making a rod for your own back there... this baby needs to learn to put himself to sleep or you will have so many dramas as he gets older" which just set me back to square one guilt *sigh*. Glad I didn't listen
