    Is this the end? :'(

DS is 2 years and 4 months old and for the first time since he was born he has drifted off to sleep in his very own toddler bed without being in my arms He's not my baby anymore The 2 things that I treasure the most about being a mummy is breastfeeding and co-sleeping. I can't tell you just how much those 2 things have increased the bond I have with DS, I love them so much but they need to come to an end. Tonight with lots of gentle assistance DS has chosen to sleep in his little big boy bed and cuddle up to his teddy instead of mummy to go to sleep while I sat next to him on the end of his bed. We've still got the double bed in the room as we thought he might choose that one or want to go into it during the night when he wakes up.... We will see what happens there, hopefully he will just sleep through the night, gosh that would be wonderful as he usually wakes up at least once every night and I get out of bed and go down to his room and jump into bed with him. I also love waking up next to him every morning and seeing his beautiful face as he snuggles in for some milk. We have also been actively weaning over the last few weeks and have it down to just sleep times so that will no doubt be over soon too. Oh how I wish I had another baby to look forward to. I guess I have sleep to look forward to once ds is weaned and sleeping through the night and I will have many special beautiful memories to keep for ever of this most amazing time that we have shared together

I thought there was a co-sleeping section on BB but I couldn't find it... And I needed to post why don't I have any chocolate in the house?!

You must be so proud of him too. All your actions & parenting has brought him that confidence to do that. Well done to you! That's my wish for DD.

Thanks girls. It was a very emotional night. I'm so proud of my DS He woke up more than he normally would have but essentially he had a good night and the best possible outcome for the first night of the transition. Fingers crossed he will start sleeping though the night some time soon.

Glad it went as well as possible. Hope you are getting more uninterrupted sleep very soon!
