Ergo Baby Carrier Sport or Standard Model?

    Hello
I am not sure if this is where to post but I am looking at getting a Ergo Baby Carrier either the Sports or standard. Anyone used one or both? The sport seems to have some upgrades but I am not sure if it is as comfortable? Also I have heard the sport can be cooler as it has a polyester blend with the cotton?
    Any advice would be great.

The sport one is a cooler fabric so better suited for warmer climates - ie - like Queensland.

The sport one also has longer straps on it so it is designed for dad's to use as well, whereas the standard one has shorter straps that tall men can't fit into (ie my husband!) so sports one is perfect for us.

Yeah the sports is a lighter material to and supposed to be cooler, though I don't find the orginal hot anyway. The sports supposed to have longer waist belt to, I could do with a little more.

My dd who is just under 6ft uses the standard and has plent of staps to do that with. If you can I would try both on and see which one you like.

I can see why the extra lenght would help then.

thanks for the information, my husband is only a shorty like me, so I guess the standard would be enough, but I like the idea of the sport being cooler, especially in QLD, my poor little bubba sweats when she is in her car seat , so anything cooler is probably good. Oh decisions!

I'm on the suuny coast and just have the standard one (upgrading to a sports soon though) because after an hour we are both sweating - summer was horrid!

If you need any further information on them - feel free to PM me

I found a great website to get the Ergo sports from which has a great price and she does great deals too! Just thought you might want the web address. I will try the MSN thing.

I'm on the look out for the Egro Sport too. We tried a friend's Snuggli on and it just wasn't long enough or wide enough or big enough somehow for my size. Hoping the Ergo Sport will be better.

The ergos are awesome from birth to toddlerhood! We carry around our 2 kids all the time (one is 2.5 and 13.5kg and the other is nearly 11 months and about 10ish kg)

We have the sport one now, and it is awesome. Fits my giant of a husband perfectly (with an added waist extension.. LOL)
