DS sleeps in our room with us and lately he is such a light sleeper that sometimes DH and I wake him up. Sometimes I wake up wanting to roll over, but because our sleep cycles are synced the baby is sleeping lightly just when I am and I don't want to roll over and wake him up.
What do you do to keep your little one happy and asleep if you share a room or a bed?
DH and I have decided not to put the baby in our bed just yet, and personally I feel that moving him out of our room is not an option just yet for us.
Hi Gabi,
When DS was a little bub we used to have his basinette just outside our bedroom door, this seemed to help with waking him when we didn't want to lol
Is it possible to move him just outside your room?
HTH
My DS Aidens a little bit older than yours and he sleeps in our room but in his own bed and he is a log! Nothing wakes him and on the rare occasion he wakes he self settles sorry.I think having them in their own bed within your room is a good first step to them eventually getting their own room
good luck
My son sleeps in a cot, so moving him just outside our room would be a somewhat permanent step. I don't feel ready! hahaha I've heard plenty of womn say cosleeping has helped their babies to sleep better, but my son slept for 6 hours straight one night when DH and I went out and Granny and GrandDad babysat (so bub was alone in the bedroom). So I'm wondering if we are keeping him up...
No, we live in a small flat, so we hear him when he whenever he wakes no matter where we are. I notice that when my husband turns over, my baby stirs and sometimes wakes.
