You have to have a Dr's letter for syringes/needles.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question!
Are you allowed to carry glucose monitors in carry on luggage?
Only ask cos of the lancet... Granted its only small, but is a sharps item. I have to fly this week and have GD, away 3 days so don't really want to go without checking. I won't have any checked in luggage, just carry on

I flew with mine in my handbag and never got questioned. Maybe check with the airline.
Thanks ladies, found this on their site
If I need special medical attention/equipment, am I allowed to fly?
If for medical reasons, passengers need to inject themselves during the flight (e.g. diabetics) they are permitted to carry syringes in the cabin. They will be asked to produce appropriate medical evidence (such as a doctor's letter) when they check-in or at security screenings. This should be kept with them at all times.
