Hi All
I am 28 pg and my GCT came back with slightly high levels so i have to have the next test. how likely is it do you think that i will have gestational diabetes? I know this hard considering you dont know me or my medical history. is there something that could have made my levels higher on the day i did the first test, do many people come back negative after the longer test? Sorry if none of my questions make sense but it's all new to me as i only had the first test with DS and it was fine.
sorry if this all a bit muddled, but i was so surprised to hear i had "failed" the first test, especially when only last week i had my blood sugars tested a my work health check and they were in the normal range.
Thanks in advance
Hi Kimmy, a friend of mine failed the GCT but pased the GTT, so fingers crossed you'll pass with flying colours
In saying that though, I DID have GD and for me, even through intially it was a shock it was managable and bub was fine.
hi kimmy, it seems like a lot of people 'fail' the first but pass the second. i guess some of it can be to do with what you've eaten etc. i had GD but went straight to the 2nd test. hopefully you don't have it. but if you do, like MS says, it's really very manageable.
MS - your little man is adorable! that's a beautiful pic
