    Signs of GD

Hi, I had my GCT today...... tasted gross! lol

I was just wondering, Did anyone have any tell tale signs that they had GD without the blood test results?? I've heard being really thristy and having to go to the ladies alot, are posible signs. I was just wondering?
I feel absolutley fantastic, apart from the sore pelvis and m/s. I really don't feel overly tired, I'm not suffering fluid retention (so far) and I generally feel better/healthier than when I'm not pregnant.
I really don't want to change a thing about my pregnancy, and am really hoping I don't have GD.

    Thanks,
    Nicky

The only sign i had was polyhydramnios... my first glucose test was at the high end of normal but my tummy was huge and my scans showed the high amount of fluid, and so they decided id better do the second test... and yup i had GD. I didnt feel any other symptoms at all... not a single one... it took insulan to keep my GD undercontrol, diet alone just wouldnt do it not very nice.

    Bugger!!
At midwife appt last week, I was measuring 31cm fundal height!
I know this isn't a good indicator, but noone has really mentioned it being a sign of GD.

Noone can give me a proper due date as it is aswell..... this should be interesting...

Nicky- if your going to the public hospital in bendigo, then dont ever expect anyone to give you the answers you are looking for.... They didnt mention it being a sign of GD to me either, they freaked me out saying it was another sign of my baby having downs or that there might be something wrong with her "drinking" the fluid (this has been mentioned recently elsewhere)... even when it was KNOWN that i had GD, they still tried to freak me out about the polyhydramnios... off the topic of GD really....

I had no indication that I would get GD, but I was at a higher risk b/c of family history, being overweight and being 30.
I am on diet control atm, it really isn't that difficult.

I have just learnt I have GD. I definitely had the symptoms - very thirsty, frequent urination like crazy!

yeah I had the same symptoms really thirsty and lots of wee breaks. I started getting symptoms quiet early I just didn't think it was GD till I had the test.

I didn't have any symptoms, just the high result in the GCT.
