We got grand father clock for our 1 year we are heading now towards the second year and now have to think what should we get hehe. I wanted something big and good that would last forever and something i wouldn't forget What it was bought for and from
Our one year wedding anniversary is coming up on the 13th of September! I'm finding it hard to believe its been a year too!!
I have bought tickets to a concert in October and planned a trip away around that. We're going to Sydney for 3 days to completely wind down and relax (we need it!). Oh and I bought some sexy underwear for myself - but its for him too
i bought DH a bar set for his rumpus room (geez, reading this and the wedding gift thread it sounds like we're alco's!) - it's absolutely gorgeous and looks awesome!
I need more ideas...... still thinking!! we're going away for 3 days (we need it too!!! so tired) in a few weeks for our anniversary so that will be special... bit of a romantic break
If you wanted to stay along the traditional lines - I think 1st year is paper, so you could get voucher,concert/sporting tickets, books, photo's, I just suggested to my friend she get her DH sporting memorabilia - which he loved. I guess it depends what he is into. Hope you find something soon. Its exciting isn't it but scary how time flies - 3.5 years for us
Um, going along the lines of a 'paper gift' ... I was gonna suggest if you & DH have a wicked sense of humor you could get him a Playboy or Ralph magazine published from the month of last year that you were married ...from off eBay ... yeh, I know secondhand maybe not ... But some Playboy mag collectors in the USA sell them in new condition ... ah, but that would take too long to arrive via airmail post
I made a Time Capsule with allsorts of items from the month & year for my friend's hubby when he was born for his 40th birthday last year ... yep, you guessed I got a Sept 1967 Playboy magazine ... he couldn't stop laughing ... he reckons it was the BEST pressie ever
Honestly i can't remember what i got DH last year lol but this year i got him a Rosso Amante bracelet. A very nice italian brand of men's jewellery. He's never wore jewellery before but he loves it.
