Natural/Organice Toys for 1 Yr Old

There is a lady in our MG who i am very close with, she is a naturopath!
I know she loves all the 'safe' toys and i would LOVE to get her gorgeous boy (DD's boyfriend hehe) something that he can keep forever that also fits in with her lifestyle choices.

I know she would NEVER refuse a gift and has normal everyday toys in her house and it would still get used but i think it would be nice to get him a wooden toy or organic toy etc of some sort.
So i have googled and there is LOTS out there, just wondering if anyone KNOWS of goods brands at decent prices or great places to look?
I want to trust that what i'm getting is what they say it is... feel free to PM me any info etc.
At this stage i am looking at spending UP TO but no more than $40 unless another girl from MG wants to put in with me.

I would love a puzzle or a train set etc...

Do you think this is a good idea?
    TIA lovely people!

Steiner is an educational philosophy - like Montessori - you can google it if you like.

I think it is a fabulous idea! There are clock puzzles and blocks and ABC puzzle blocks and things - I am about to do a big shop for Charlotte's birthday next month and her christmas.

Even their pretend play things are fabulous - because they aren't made of cheap plastic crap! Love it!

Anyway, I'm sure she will love it. I think they do gift certificates as well too if you can't decide

For the first 3 years of having children, no 4 actually, we had mainly wooden and hand crafted toys. I bought steiner toys and DD1 went to Montessori. We actually bought a few things from Ikea funnily enough... they had very cute roll play toys and I got the girls a train set there which is wooden and lovely.

I'm buying steiner toys on ebay for Christmas as well
