Question Gift for 6 yo girl????? HELP!!!!

    hello,
Can anyone suggests a gift for a 6 yo girl? She is a girly girl, likes her pink clothes, but she is not into anything (like Barbie) - so I'm totally up in the air as to what to get her... In the previous years I've bought her clothes, but her Mum hinted that now she is in school she does not need clothes as much... I have no idea what to do... I have a $40 limit... thanks soooooooooooooo much for reading....

make your own beading necklace kit just sprung to mind.....you can get something like this I think at Discovery Zone or National Geographic (opps, sorry Australian Geographic).....both these shops have other great ideas...............or if in doubt, books. I'm a big fan of books for kids. Other suggestions: diarys; stationery....kids always love stationery, stickers.

    Good luck.

You could go for nice pencils, pens and paper. Or a craft activity kit, you can get some nice ones. A jewellery box with some girly costume jewellery or pretty hair ties, head bands etc.

Just some ideas. Hope there is something there to help

What about a lovely book - there are some princess books that have little letters & stuff in them. If she's 6 and at school she should be excited about reading. Just go to local bookshop or Big W & have a browse. If it looks girly and like you'd like to read it, it'll be great! Maybe you could go with a theme - princess/fairy book & wand/ tiara/ handbag with beads etc.

If she likes surprises maybe you could get her a voucher to do something new like a pony ride, family ticket to the movies.

What about a decorative chalk board and chalk that she can put up in her bedroom? You could even go to Bunnings and buy an untreated pine one and also give her some pink paint and stencils and she could decorate the frame herself?

Thank you so much, I read all your ideas (via email) and kind of got a combination gift.. it was like a diary/book that had stickers etc... but it was based on different outfits to wear each day, so there were 365 different outfits - one for each day - so funny, she will love it.. thank you all so much!!!!!!!!!
I actually loved the pony ride idea, but this poor little girl is allergic to everything, from animal hair to seafood, to berries and of course nuts.. but luckily not clothes!!!!
