We got MIL a calenderr with photos of all the grandkids, an xbox 360 arcade and an external hard drive lol and a handmade card from DD

got my MIL a joint pressie with my SIL (SIL still lives at home...it's weird but they'll love it) from Red Balloon Days, a high tea for 2 at a fancy hotel in the city.

My MIL is getting a digital scrapbook that I made. I wouldn't normally spend that much time or money on her, but I made it for my Mum. Was easy to order 2 copies!

last year I bought my MIL a photo set, the boxes all stacked into each other...

she has lots of photo's around her place... and I have never seen it up yet... hmmm

This year I asked DH what we should get her, and suggested as a joke a mitre 10 gift voucher... which he jumped at and thought it was a great idea!

10 mins later he says... what did we get her for her birthday and last christmas... and I said.... drumroll......

"A MITRE 10 GIFT VOUCHER!"

We bought MIL a hand blown champagne flute with a turtle pattern, from a local gallery. Very elegant and unique (she loves turtles). We probably should have bought two? Oh well, she lives alone....And a bottle of lemon myrtle body wash.....

I got MIL a beautiful Royal Doulton Nativity Set..... So hard to get a woman a gift who already has everything! She loves that sort of stuff, so I'm sure it will be a win.

Lemon Myrtle is an Australian native rainforest tree. It has a lemony scent (surprise, surprise!) but is more fruity and fresh than citrusy...I find it hard to describe smells...I just know if I like them or not!

I got my MIL and GMIL a hand painted pot each with Grandma and Nan on them, that's what the kids call them. They're also getting a couple of photos.

I haven't bought them presents in years because they are serial re-gifters and I've lost count of all the presents we've gotten back the year after we've given them. I figured they can't give me back pots that say nan or grandma. Well not for a very long time anyway

We're doing a homemade christmas this year, so she is getting some of DS old formula tins, spray painted, with ds's hand prints on them and herbs potted in. We also made a air-dried clay strawberry collecting basket since they have alot of strawberry plants in their garden.

I got her the Maggie Beer cookbook....big huge one that I've always wantd to get for her. Also some photos of the kids so she can put them into frames of HER choice!

My MIL seems to hate everything I buy for them inc $160 worth of family portraits that we gave them one year. She wanted her darling son to do an Astronomy Star Trail for xmas So now I just give them food.
